Henrik Aldén

GIS analyst and spatial planner focused on geodata, energy transition, and local landscapes.

About

Henrik Aldén is a GIS analyst and spatial planner with a strong interest in how geodata can be used to understand landscapes, energy transitions, and local resources. He works at the intersection of technology, analysis, and place-based storytelling, often using open tools such as R, PostGIS, and interactive maps.

Through his work, he explores how complex datasets can become clear and useful foundations for decisions, dialogue, and planning. In parallel, he develops projects around edible landscapes, forest gardening, and small-scale cultivation systems where maps, ecology, and practical land-based work come together.

The work is often experimental: new methods are tested, models are built, and visualizations are developed to make geographic patterns visible, from energy systems and text analysis to nut orchards and local landscapes.
