Privacy and cookies
Draft reviewed on 28 October 2026.
This information covers the public gislab.se website and map tools on the same domain. The colleague portal and linked external apps require their own privacy information.
Cookies and local storage
The website's own code sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts come from your device or gislab.se. No general cookie preference is stored.
The Agroforestry planning tool accesses its saved plan only when you use “Spara plan på den här enheten” (save on this device), “Läs sparad plan” (load saved plan) or “Radera sparad plan” (delete saved plan). Changes are not saved automatically.
- Storage: localStorage, key
sorby-planting-draft-v1. - Content and purpose: the edited field boundary and planting distances, to save and reload your plan.
- Location and duration: this browser on your device, without automatic expiry, until you delete the saved plan or clear site data. Your browser may also remove it.
- Recipients: the plan is not sent to GISLab or map providers. A GeoJSON download is a separate file on your device.
Storage serves the save feature you explicitly request. You can use the map without saving. Deleting the saved plan does not delete downloaded files. Map images and other resources may also be held in the browser's ordinary cache.
External map backgrounds start disabled
Stockholm × Torsboda, Klimatverkstad and Agroforestry display local data without automatically fetching an external background. In the first two tools, open “Extern bakgrund av” (external background off) and choose “Visa extern bakgrund” (show external background) to load OpenStreetMap. Choose “Dölj extern bakgrund” (hide external background) in the same panel to stop new requests.
In Agroforestry, choose a background in the “Bakgrund” list. Choose “Utan bakgrund” (no background) to stop new requests. Choices are not retained across page loads. Turning a background off cannot retrieve data the provider has already received.
When enabled, the provider receives your IP address, browser information, website origin and coordinates of requested map images. The map area indicates what you are viewing, rather than automatically revealing your own location.
- OpenStreetMap Foundation: images from
tile.openstreetmap.org. Read the OpenStreetMap Foundation privacy policy. - Esri: optional Agroforestry images from
server.arcgisonline.comandclarity.maptiles.arcgis.com. Read Esri's privacy statement and products and services supplement.
Your active choice controls whether these optional requests occur. Provider retention, processing and international transfers are described in their policies. Before publication, GISLab must complete its assessment of provider roles and safeguards for any transfers outside the EU/EEA.
When you contact GISLab
GISLab is operated by Tåghusa 1:38 AB, the controller for the business's processing of personal data described here. The contact person is Henrik Aldén: henrik@gislab.se, +46 73 379 53 20.
Email links open your own email application; the website does not send a message for you. If you send an email, GISLab may receive your name, email address, telephone number and message to handle your enquiry and any follow-up. Please avoid unnecessary sensitive data or information about other people.
The proposed legal basis for general enquiries and correspondence with organisation representatives is legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): responding to enquiries and conducting business. Necessary steps towards a contract requested by an individual may instead rely on Article 6(1)(b). These bases must be checked against actual business practices.
Email provider: one.com handles email for henrik@gislab.se, so messages and contact details are processed through its email service. one.com describes its processor role for customers' email in its GDPR information (Swedish).
Retention: add the business's confirmed practice for deleting closed enquiries. Processing countries, subprocessors, the applicable processing agreement and any transfer safeguards also need verification for the actual one.com subscription.
Hosting and technical data
This website uses GitHub Pages. The hosting provider receives technical data to deliver the website. GitHub states that it logs and stores visitors' IP addresses for security, including visitors who are not signed in.
See GitHub Pages data collection information and the GitHub privacy statement for its processing, retention and international transfers. GISLab must confirm applicable hosting terms, roles and transfer safeguards.
External websites and the portal are linked rather than embedded. Their own data practices apply when you follow those links.
